Giant Hedgehog CactusSome plants present such astounding flowers making pictures of the floral abundance becomes nearly automatic. The ‘Giant Claret Cup’ as I call this image captures such a plant in perfect bloom. This vividly colorful cactus grows at the edge of the high desert where it occupies a very narrow habitat and is so rare as to now be considered endangered on the Federal list of Threatened and Endangered plants.

The archival print uses 100% cotton-fiber, acid-free, smooth fine art paper, matted using archival materials and framed in solid natural, cherry or white maple with UV protective Glass or Plex for heirloom quality and generations of enjoyment.
