In each of my workshops, we will address digital photography with a responsive
approach where we meet the subject through our emotional
experience, light and technique. Our goal will be to
pursue a greater understanding of our medium in creative
adventure of honing our technical integrity, personal response
to the subject, and most importantly - enjoyment!
With your confirmed registration I will
send comprehensive information which will include
workshop, travel and accommodation details.

| I enjoy teaching the art of
photography rather than just the nuts and bolts of the craft.
But I'm especially interested in helping students develop their
own style, their own way of expressing their emotional response
to the subject on location in spectacular, exhilarating
settings. Gaining confidence and proficiently in
expressing personal response requires understanding and
familiarity with your equipment and photographic image making. In all of my workshops,
intimate color landscape
and special subject photography emphasize exploration in a close
instructional field setting. Instructional groups are limited to
minimize distractions and for optimal personal interaction in a relaxed
setting.

Because I only host a limited number of
workshops each year, creative involvement with each participant becomes
a special goal. My personal teaching objective remains effective
interaction with each participant to explore creative and aesthetic
responses with enjoyment. Each participant may choose a flexible course
of study both in time and instructional involvement. The free exchange
of information and ideas are important throughout each workshop. Limited class size allows personal
instruction, which will include a general naturalist perspective,
environmental sensitivity, interpreting personal response, and
enjoyment. Available natural light will be emphasized. Important to the
photographic process is a sense of passion and fun!
